I could spend about 200€ / $250 to get a great pair.
Or if you want something warmer and easier to drive than the Q701, try the Sennheiser HD 598.
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check them out !
And it looks like they are on sale now or just had their price reduced. About 150€ / $180. I will probably look abit more in to those and order a pair the coming days.
Really ? All I've read is that 80s are just fine for PC usage. And the 32s have leatherette earpads which make my ears really sweaty, which I don't like, and the audio differences aren't very big.
EDIT: I built my PC last year so my motherboard should be able to drive the 80s just fine, no ?
Some motheboards do have very good audio, and even high-power headphone amps. Most of the stuff from Asus is good, so are Gigabyte and MSI's Gaming boards.
I have an MSI gaming series motherboard, can't remember the exact name right now. Should be good yeah ?
It's a sub $100 headset. Built by a company (Plantronics) that manufactures call centre grade headsets for telephone and wireless.
- 7.1 Dolby Surround headset with Music/Gaming modes (Non-tweakable), with on/off.
- Rotational microphone with behind ear mute button.
- High quality microphone with a good ground but NO noise cancelling (NO white noise, but you can hear lots of background polution)
- USB connectivity (Rather short cable, but friendly to extenders from personal experience)
- Adjustable headset with cloth ear pads but dense foam for a solid fit/long lasting puff.
- On ear Dolby On/Off, Volume Adjuster, Mic Mute switch.
I'd order a second set if this pair broke, unless a better recommendation came in for durable, non-cost-heavy headphones.
