http://www.pp.co.nz/products.php?pp_id=AA45812
it maybe the ram is faulty
cross matching ram isnt a good idea
i take it out and put in the DDR3 2GB RAM and the system boots normal
put the DDR3 2GB and the DDR3 4GB and the system will not boot.
i have done the stick by stick test in evey posable DRAM configuration.
If it doesnt boot with only one ram stick. Then that ram is just faulty.
Unless you installed the memory on a different slot. Because it's also possible that you have a faulty ram slot.
then use kingston 4gb on ddr3-slot A or ddr3-slot B.
try to update BIOS
improved memory compatiblity, 691.93 KBytes, 2011/05/04
Boot system
Find the latest offical version of your motherboard BIOS and flash update to it. Lots of the BIOS updates will also include later memory support. If that memory is newer than your current motherboard BIOS, it won't run at all or have many issues, the later version BIOS however should resolve that.
Check the motherboard manual + BIOS updates for the Memory QVL (Qualify Vendor List). This will list the known working memory types for your PC.
If required, return the memory to the store and swap, they should allow you to do this or even provide you a full refund under the consumers act, if not compatible with your system.
Your motherboard might be too old and only support up to 8GB DDR3 1333MHz memory (Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory). In which case, get low CL timing, such as those CL7, for better performance, compared to higher MHz. Use duel channel memory (2x 4GB sticks - if 64bit OS) or (2x 2GB sticks - 4GB max if 32bit OS).
Also note: All memory stick types also must match to be used together, else it will fail or just default to the slowest speed.
there are thousands of brand/models of ram
and most of them do work even if not on the list
are you mixing ddr2 and ddr3? (big nono)
