I wouldn't be too caught up on the drivers thing unless you want something very specific. For most regular usage, I'm sure both will be fine.
Depending on price, neither could be a good choice there days.
What are you using now a d what are you planning to use them for?
Neither are going to be outstanding these days and I'd take a 'lesser' newer card capable of better raytracing, upscaling and frame gen over either, again, depending on price
If you consider Linux in any time, then for sure NOT Nvidia.
But what is that price?
Are you talking 200 bucks or 400 bucks?
If you want to make use of all the new tech, a 5060ti 16GB could be a better option.
Not totally true, you can use DLSS4 Transformer Model on a 2080 Ti, that said the AMD card is still the better option, upto 30% faster and more VRAM.
