Steam deck puts account on "signed out" on startup

Hello, I have a bit of an annoying problem. Every time I turn on my steam deck or switch between gaming mode and desktop mode, my account goes on "signed out" mode and my profile picture turns into a question mark.
I've had my steam deck for about a month now and it runs the stable updates channel.

I have already tried the following things
-log into steam again
-emptied download cache
-checked the settings
-run a diagnostic
-sent in a system report
-tried a different WiFi network/mobile hotspot
-run storage maintainence check

Nothing seems to solve the issue and I keep having to select my online status manually.

I have installed emudeck, but I'm not sure if that could be causing this problem as it runs flawlessly.
