it will do OK at 1440....is it the greatest??....right now for the dollar per frame it is.....and that sucks.....
I'm from South East Asia and the prices are bumped up like crazy here. It's really hard to find any card not 100 bucks above MSRP.
The 9070xt is a better card than the 5070 but overpriced in many regions. 5070Ti is better than 9070xt due to better upscaling but it’s also overpriced.
If available at MSRP then 9070xt or 5070Ti would be a great option.
Overclockers UK has an option to pre-order 5070Ti for £650 and it would be my pick in my region if I was buying a GPU right now.
5070Ti and 9070xt seem to me to be the sweet spot for the best value this generation if at msrp.

3060ti -> 5070 65% performance uplift for $600
3060ti -> 5070ti 112% performance uplift for $900
3060ti -> 9070 82% performance uplift for (no clue how much it costs for you)
3060ti -> 9070xt 103% performance uplift for 750
Obviously with AMD you always run the risk of installing bad drivers but that's up to you
For 1440p...
12GB yes
3060 no
If you want to crank up the visuals at 1440p and still have good enough FPS you'll need at least 3080 Ti, which are cheap now. Otherwise you're looking at 4070 or 5070
2d hand 2080ti (about 10% gain) for 200 euro
2d hand titan rtx (about 30% gain) for 600 euro
-> most energyefficient pick still only 250w.. anything beyond going to have insane draw..
2d hand 3080tii (about 60% gain) for 450 euro (good value)
or a 2d hand 4070 S *same performance about as 3080ti and usually also around 450 euro
given that the gain between a 4070S and 5070 is basicly 0..negative even with dlss bogus and upscaling off that 2d hand 4070S is a very atractive price.
a brand new 9070XT is also about in the same ballpark as an 4070S (perhaps 5% faster) but priced a bit friendlier than that 5070 still 600 euro new vs 450 for that 2d hand 4070S
30%
(3090 for 800 euro 2d hand and 3090ti for 900 euro 2d hand are bad pricepoints
4080 is a sizable jump up.. performing about 40% better than that 4070S.. but at 800 ish 2d hand costing also nearly double.
4080S costs 1300 euro and 4090 1800 euro and are not advisable at those pricepoint
so the upgrade parth is 2d hand
2080ti for 200 euro
3080ti or 4070S for 450 euro
4080 or 4080S for 800 euro
while new :
9070 XT for 600 euro
5080 for 1200 euro
personally I say a 2d hand 4070S for 450 euro is a nice upgrade for that price but if you want to spend the 150 euro extra.. for a 9070XT for 600 to have about the same performance but warranty thats understandable.
4070 and 4070 Ti are the 1st editions
4070 Super and 4070 Ti Super are the newer 2nd editions
Especially since NVIDIA just pushed free updates that enhanced the upscaling for RTX 40 series; which is something RTX 20 and 30 series will not be getting.
4070 Ti Super and lower variants of 4070 do not exceed 300W TDP
4070 Super is around 220-230W
I thought only the fake frame gimic is for 40series and multi fake for 50series while upscaling is for all rtx gpus

I'm not talking about the release of DLSS 4
Here, READ stay up to date please.

This just made RTX 40 series have a huge boost and makes all previous NVIDIA gpus pointless
uh isnt that frame gen?
sure if you are still buying Nvidias marketing bs
the more you buy the more you save, right?
