Fractal Design Era ITX - damaged internal HD-audio-connector
Hello Steam Community,

I bought a used Frataldesign Era ITX (not Era 2) case a while ago. Unfortunately, a cable was ripped out on the hd-audio port.

I tested the connection and music sounds relatively normal, but speech sounds muffled.

Does anyone know if there's a diagram for this HD audio port? I couldn't find anything online.

I'll send links with pictures in a reply to this post, as my first post couldn't be published for some reason.

First of all, a question: Can you simply push a ripped put cable back into the correct hole in the connector, or do you have to solder it back on?

Thank you very much for your help!

contact them, maybe they will send you a new audio/usb io bracket or cable

https://support.fractal-design.com/support/tickets/new

say it was damaged when you received it

if not, take it to a local tech repair shop
they can re-pin the connector

if you connect your graphics card to your monitor with either hdmi or displayport, you can connect the speakers to your monitor`s audio out and use the sound chip on your graphics card.
