Interesting results with the 7900 XTX Windows vs Linux (CachyOS)
Somehow my system with my GPU undervolted and power capped to 250w is outperforming a 7800X3D system with the same GPU with power unlocked and reaching much higher clocks. CachyOS vs Windows.

I am sure the 7800X3D would likely do better under Linux too, I think this is perhaps more eye opening of the inefficiencies of Windows.

Looks like less then 5% difference if that. Your video was mostly in open areas to reach 200 average. Once entered a semi populated area, was getting near the same as in the Windows example.

Only way to really compare is do what the Windows video did, get into that very large city, and use hawk to see far out and everything, instead of empty areas and looking at the ground?

OK then, off I go to do it.

Made a solid attempt to find the 1440P result in the video area with no luck, I moved forwards to the 4K section where it shows where he is on the map and even that is different to the 1440P result too as there is no building with a stature woman on the peak of in that area along side a bunch of male statues situated around it's other lower peaks.

In the section I tested though which is in the 4K result my results are lower, but were in the 160 FPS zone with a minimum of 113.

The fly over with the bird dropped it between 120-145 FPS.

This all the whilst only consuming a maximum of 250 watts still on the GPU.

I certainly would be interested in seeing an Apples to Apples test, both systems on the same OS, and then on the other OS.

I just went with 14th gen Intel (latest gen is garbage) instead of a 9800X3D because I target 60 - 120 fps at 4K, and AMD only wins when it comes to max framerates.

14th gen Intel is actually better when it comes to 1% lows, which is of utmost importance to me.

you missed to much to have a valid point....windows itself is bias for intel and you have to edit the OS to make it run well.....AMD already stomps intel even in 1% lows but after the edit its a even bigger joke.....

you bought in to the delusions intel could be better.....but they have lost the CPU race.....

Devs working on X3Ds
if (if (if (then) then) then) doSomething();
stays in L3 cache.

In theory, Intel still should be able to execute more instructions per second that Ryzen and they have better memory controller so depends on the game and if we say that Linux is more simple than Windows that makes it more interesting. The fact that AMD is having problems with Windows (I noticed something similar since Zen2 Renoir), then for Intel should be more benefitial?

You seem to have no idea what an x3d chip ios or how it works.

Devs don't have to do much of anything special. No idea where you got that idea but you shouldn't trust tiktok for tech advice.

Haha, I was joking and I know devs don't have to touch the code to dictate 1:1 how it should be working and stored. Just the bigger L3 cache helps with running bigger loops and branches. That's why it looks faster. There was no Tiki Taka included.

Wait, what??? Can you explain this in more detail? I have never heard this before.

Windows 11's scheduler was built on Intel's hybrid design (starting with 12th gen) and favoured Intel CPUs on previous editions

Ryzen needs custom power plans and patches just to work properly on Windows

When Win11 came out, Ryzen was at a disadvantage for awhile because the scheduler wasn't working properly for anything other than Alder Lake
For a proper comparison just use the built-in benchmark (Options > Graphics > Performance Tools). Too many variables just wandering the sandbox.

You try to claim you were joking then continue letting us know this is beyond you.

So you're dismissing someone’s understanding as ‘beyond them’ without actually addressing the points just looks like an argument from "authority" that knows but there are barks by a bulldog. Cool?
