MC888 Pro Router 5G any good? Is 5G even good and reliable for gaming?
I am looking to change my ISP which I use through Fiber internet, but unfortunately they increased the price and I am not willing to pay them because they do shamefully increase the price right after you buy their services and it feels like scamming people to me.

Now I got a very good offer from another ISP which offers 5g internet + A router MC888 Pro Router and some TV channels which is good for news I follow, All for a discounted price of 32 dollars a month for 2 years, No price changes will take place but i have to pay it for 2 years without ability to cancel it, price is converted to USD since I live in Northern Europe. So should I go for it? I never used wifi for gaming so I dont know the cons of it.

Ah, nevermind! I would never want to use any type of wireless connection for anything latency-sensitive or stability-sensitive like MP gaming.

Yeah I'm with you there wouldn't want it if I was playing CS or something like that all the time, looking at his profile though he's playing Diablo 4 and MP games like that ain't as bad to play over mobile networks if that's all he does.

It can be ok but there are factors that can make it better or worse.

Distance from 5G antennas, greater distance increases signal degradation, reducing speeds and reliability.

Frequency band used by provider, high band (mmWave) gives super fast speeds but short range and poor penetration through obstacles (house walls), Low-band has longer range and better penetration but slower speeds, mid band obviously is a balance and sit's between the two.
The band your provider uses determines coverage and performance.

The only real way you will know it's good is by testing it in your home and at that point if it's bad you're locked in for two years, saying that EU law is usually good with this and if bad you can probably cancel saying it's not fit for purpose and probably comes with a period of time where you can cancel anyway, just check this stuff.

5g mobile can be good

5ghz wifi, has shorter range than 2.4ghz, but many more channels and less interference from other devices

6ghz wifi, about the same range of 5ghz but higher with speeds

45-60ghz wifi, cant penetrate a sheet of paper, but much has higher speeds

for gaming, you want a wired connection
wifi can only be ok if ping to the router is very consistent

May I ask where you get 5 Gigabit for $32/month?

5g is mobile network
its fine to use for gaming or whatever, your phone will use it by default if its capable
