Best Nvidia Driver for 4080 Super?
I just wanted to update my drivers and tried the latest game driver (576.52) that was released a couple days ago on may 19th, but immediately encountered short black screens whenever I wanted to either start or close a game (no matter, which one btw) or alt tabbing in or out of it.

For an NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super, the generally recommended driver version is 566.36

This driver is often cited for its stability and good performance across various games and is commonly recommended by Gamers Nexus.

However, some users have reported that driver version 566.14 provides slightly better performance, though at the cost of a bit more power consumption.

On a side note, I personally do not own the RTX 4080 Super and this is simply information that I have gathered on forums outside of Steam.

Here is a list of individually available drivers by Nvidia (Manual Driver Search):

566.36 is the most stable for any GPU that is not a 50 series......

Digital Foundry also commented on recent drivers problems.

I didn't say Nvidia hasn't massively dropped the ball with their last half dozen driver updates, just giving the OP the benefit of my experience with a similar GPU.

I'm on the driver version 572.83 as this driver was the one that made me stop crashing in Monster Hunter Wilds.

I haven't tested the newest driver though.

Clean install on the driver too btw.

The best driver is the one that works. Never update drivers unless you have a specific need to.
