Building Micro-ATX
I just realised that I don't need ATX form factor anymore because I never do overclock and I never use more than one GPU and two RAM modules.

My current PC is Deus Ex inspired with Corsair Spec-Alpha case and orange colours in RGB decour. So, now I want Deepcool Macube 110 case and Asus TUF Gaming B650M-E. I am just wondering how CPU fan with RGB (like Endorfy Fera) would look with RGB RAM modules in micro-ATC case - they will be too close. Perhaps only one of them shall be with RGB?

Best thing to do is have a look on Google images I'm sure there must be a few RGB builds to check out and decide.

Okay. I use minimal RGB lights - so only two RGB components would be enough in copying Deus Ex vibes for me, which is orange and black.
RGB is tacky, and uses a surprising amount of energy if the battery drain on wireless mouse and keyboard are anything to go by. A full charge lasts maybe 2 days with the backlit keys on, and over a week with it off.

Atx only needed when you need more than one drive and ssd.

That's just a crap keyboard, mine lasts months on a full charge, Logitech G915 TKL, my 502X Pro lasts weeks also.

Maybe some orange cables, this is my old PC I had before my current build.

ATX isn't even needed for that. My board support 4 SATA drives AND 3 NVMEs one of which is gen 5 and its a mini ITX.
honestly 90% of people can use any size they want.

I used mATX back when I used SLI and currently I use mini ITX and you don't en up missing anything (atleast on AMDs side).

You can overclock, you can undervolt, I have 4 sata ports, 3 NVMEs, and a 2.5Gb ethernet port, inbuilt sound card (though I use a Schiit Hel+).

Infact when I switched my internet to 5Gb fiber and my local network to 10Gb I just got an M.2 10Gb NIC.

Size doesn't mean much as far as feature these days.

Thanks for response. Many matx has few m2 and 3 ore 4 sata ports but many of them unusable. Thou i dunno recent matx mobo.

Micro atx is meant mostly for budget builds since the boards are cheaper than the full size ATX. You sacrifice PCie slots and nvme slots. However, for most people who only have a GPU and 1 nvme drive, you are probably okay.

you can use a m-atx board in a full atx or e-atx case

its nice to have more room for cooling and airflow

most m-atx cases are too small for good flow or cooling

if you want sff, go itx, single gpu on tiny board, just dont put in a high tdp cpu, and use a 240+mm clc to cool it

Small form factor builds are also expensive. Despite being smaller than micro atx, the boards can be more expensive than full sized ATX and they have worse connectivity and expansion slots. Cases for ITX builds are also expensive too and the limited space and cooling can limit the realistic CPU and GPU. Basically don't do SFF unless you really don't have the space or you want the look of it.

I built in a mini-ITX case, and I think they look better without lighting.

Something like a KXRORS S500 V2 would probably work well.

I built in a S300 for the PC under my TV, which works well for a 65W CPU like the one I have in it, but it doesn't hold up well for higher powered CPUs. The S500 has enough room for a AIO liquid cooler though.

But in both cases, I thing it would look better without lighting.

This guy has one built and uses RGB lighting:

I always buy atx standard. more options. but micro is nice. don't know about the workload but should be OK. ram . max it. I like the micro cases lots to choose from
