do make sure if you have multiple monitors to select the correct monitor for the color profile
I did that before, still not working, my display color gets washed out when i close a game and then i have to go to display settings to calibration to take effect again
different games, the only game that its not affecting is Diablo 4, it changes after launching any other games
Elden ring, Dark souls 3 and all other games literally
Edit: I just launched Resident evil 2, shadow of tomb raider and resident evil 8, It did not change colour calibration after closing them, but it does on pubg, elden ring and dark souls 3.
yeah then it is not a compatibility thing
i looked it up do not know if you use windows 10 and if they resolved it but ever since the creator's update games tend to reset the color profiles when it is in "fullscreen mode" try borderless fullscreen
there have been sugestions like
1. enabling "use nvidia color settings" instead of "use default color settings"
2. disabling fullscreen optimization in compatibility options of the exe file of the game
also if you have updated the nvidia drivers allready a bunch ddu'ing the driver and puting a fresh driver on there might also fix it
come to think of it i only ever experienced color profile's and hdr weirdness from nvidia cards haven't had a single issue on amd with this
Right now im using B580 lmao while waiting for my Radeon to arrive, I could bet a huge amount that this is caused by intel graphic software as when i calibrated my colour settings, the Intel software showed some kind of massege that they reset my settings on their software to default . so i might need to reinstall intel software
reason why ddu not radeon nvidia or intel cleans up their drivers properly and the clean install is just reset cache and such it is why ddu exist graphic drivers are dumb in the way that they reuse any file that already exists but if adjustments were done in those files then you end up with either performance issues or any other funky issue or even issues that exist but aren't transparent
i have to say while i was fine with my old 2070 super having 3 nvidia updates after eachother before ddu'ing i recommend when you got the amd one to ddu each update from experience the issue people often describe are from not clean installs of the driver
also doesn't intel have its own color manager? i mean the old chipsets did so you might be fighting the color manager of intel if this is true you should remove the color profiles from color management of windows and just add it in the color management of the intel drivers
If Desktop, there is no need to uninstall the Intel GPU as it's never active or used for Display purposes unless a Display is connected to the Motherboard video outputs.
Im using windows 10 pro, and i removed and even returned the Intel gpu for it was not good enough for all games i play, now using igpu, Ryzen 9 7900x and waiting for my RX 7900 xt... i dont really know what to do now to fix the issue, im very much certain that this is windows issue... perhaps i should go to windows 11 and see if the issue still persist, but honestly i dont like windows 11 a bit.
Ryzen that new you should be on a clean install of Win11 anyways
my monitor does not have enough tweaks for the gamma... its only the gamma that i need to lower but the windows keep changing the gamma back to windows default, i tried deleting all default files for windows but its not possible since they are TrustedInstaller protected files.
