Hard Drive Cooler?
I am currently running an enterprise HDD in my computer and it's running too hot.

Are there any coolers of such that won't reduce clearance or interfere with the hard drive bay in my case?

I am currently using a USB fan with my side panel off as a temporary solution since noticing the high temperatures.

Install more and/or better quality fans

most cases have fans in front of the 3.5 in racks
how hot is the drive?
30-50c is around normal for hdd and perfectly fine

55C the drive is. My case is a Corsair Crystal 680X. There are no fans on the HDD side of the case. Am I best buying a case fan or a heatsink ?

case fan

if there is no airflow, heatsink is useless

Thanks. Do they have to be exhaust?

What case?

Corsair Crystal 680X. Can't seem to see any screws for a fan on the other side of the case where the hard drives are.

Edit:
Just found that someone installed a fan on the 2.5" cage in this case, so I'm going to try that.

intake is better since its blowing cooler on the components, but either will work, any flow is better than none

if the case has good airflow, and the drive is near a vent it will be fine too

wow, that case has no fans on the back for the psu and 2.5/3.5 in drive racks
most case deigns put the drives behind the front intake fans

in the pic, they have pata/ide hdds, they could not find sata hdds, or even connect any of them to the psu or board

I think I need to get some cable ties, and mounting a small fan in the 2.5" cage, pointing down.

there is not enough room, the psu is mounted vertical, so its ~3in wide

you can get a 120mm blower, those are ~25mm tall

zip tie it to the back of the mobo tray so it blows air toward the drive cage

they are a bit noisy, so set the pwm value to around 50-60% max to keep it quiet

Unless it's hitting like 50-60*C it's fine.
How hot does it get?

Check it with CrystalDiskInfo
I have a Corsair 680X (love the case tbh) with a 4 TB WD Black HDD and a couple Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD's in my drive bays. My WD Black is running at about 34/35c on average and my Evo's are around 24/25. I've never had any problems with temps for the past five years nearly, nor the need for a fan in that compartment, which I'm glad about because I already have eight fans in the main compartment. So, maybe there's a problem with your drive.
I have tons of HDDs. Even Enterprise class models. From 1TB up to 20TB. Hundreds of them over the years. Not one of them needed airflow or hit above 45*C with heavy writes going on.

the case has the drive bays in a space with no airflow
he said it was hitting 55c which is warm for a drive

Could you share with us the model name of the hard drive please? I'll go look it up for you to find out if 55c is too hot for it.
