1070ti Upgrade?
Hi everyone

So in the past year or so I've noticed my perfomance in games have gone down quite a bit.

Games I play at the moment:
- KCD2 (low settings, 60ish fps)
- Hunt Showdown (struggling to get constant 60fps on lowest settings, it gets quite bad in intense fights, so much that I quit playing after a while)

I would like to play games like Stalker 2 and Starfield, but the performance is unplayable.

I have the following specs:
i5-9600K 3.7ghz
1070ti 8gb
32gb ram

My friends suggest I upgrade to a 3080, but it is very expensive. I would like more opinions on this matter please, should I save up some more, or are there any other worth while upgrades for a 1070ti. I've seen second hand that a 1080 and 2070 is about half the price of a 3080, or would the upgrade not be worth it? I live in South Africa so our second prices are not always on par with other countries.

Thanks in advance !

1080 is too old and too hot, also this will not give you enough for an upgrade

my recommendations for a new
4060 - relatively cheap, all tech, low power usage
4070 - 12 gb vram, pretty nice computing power
7600 - cheaper than 4060, but worse TDP and weaker RT
7800XT - good amount of vram, decent 2k option
9070/XT - good option if you can get it near MSRP
Arc B580 - 16 Gb vram, but drivers are raw

for a used
3060 12 Gb - future proof with good vram amount
6700XT - kinda same, but AMD
option 1 UPGRADE CPU - but intel CPUs are mad expensive, get something equivalent to a ryzen 5800x with best cooler. Reduce your bottleneck , You wont see a performance upgrade unless you set resolution lower for high FPS gaming

option 2 UPGRADE GPU - for the cheapest performance over cost RTX2080ti but it uses mad wattage! you get RT version 1 which sucks also or RTX 3070 its equivalent but better RT, . Best option get an RX6800 with the 16GB of vram you can max out all graphics settings and have better ray tracing and upscaling and also get the advantage of low wattage on the GPU usage saving you money in the long run.

9600k It's time to replace this processor, which will chisel in 100% paired with 3070-3080, on such a system it's scary to imagine what lags...
