5090 on my country +/tax is 6000dollar
Yes, because you can buy it.
No, because retailers are selling it with very high profit margin.
Nvidia is about to release RTX Pro 5000 which should be fast as RTX4090 with MSRP 4k USD. With this availability I won't be supprised to get even higher.
To me, it's not worth paying much over MSRP so I'll wait til supply's normalise, but, if he can drop $5k like it's nothing, then, sure, why not?
End if the day price and worth is very much an individual thing.
(also, most people thinking of doing that, have a good card already. I keep seeing posts about people wanting to upgrade their 4090 to a 5090. So they really don't *need* it NOW. Have some patience, wait 6-12 months, save a bundle when the price comes back down.)
and yeah 9070 XT is starting at 1K too, all out of stock.
I laugh out loud at these people i paid $1363 for my 5080 its here in front of me not on a shelf either.
For me, I'd take 1000 pizzas, sponsoring over 20 food drives, etc. over a device that can burn out and be a paperweight. But hey, that's just me...
