PC turns on, but there is no image and it cannot be shut down normally.
My computer turns on, but no image. I can't even shut down the computer normally (not even with a forced shutdown of 5-10 seconds). I have to do it from the power supply button.

I've tried changing the RAM, deep cleaning and using compressed air, checking the processor, applying thermal paste, and everything seems to be in order.

Again... It turns on... But no image appears, and even less so the brand image.

Ok, before sending this computer to be checked, I would like to ask if any of you have had a similar case.

Could it be the motherboard? The bios even?

In a few days if I can't get the computer repaired I will send it to a professional.
Do you advise me to deliver the desktop without a hard drive?
I have a lot of banking information and information about my job in general. And although I have read that it is illegal for the person responsible for the repair to access said information, Thats in Spain law, but nothing guarantees that they can do so...?

Should I deliver the desktop with or without a hard drive?

(This was written using Google Translate, sorry if there are any strange or inconsistent words).
Thx for read. :tamamosquee:

Did you try another display cable, another GPU or the monitor?

:nkCool:
If your CPU has integrated graphics then try to plug the monitor cable into motherboard HDMI or DP port and see if it boots up with integrated graphics.
If it does then your graphics card is done for.
What i have found in SOME cases like this is to physically unplug it from mains, leave it for about 10mins, reset bios and plug it back in mains then power on.

Edit; I have experienced this mostly with nvidia gpu's, think it may be a driver glitch.

Honestly, I have not been able to pin down the actual cause but it has worked more than once in situation described. I added the gpu bit because it has always, (for me at least), been with a system wearing an nvidia gpu.

Do you have RGB keyboard, usually you will remember the patern when you got into windows, which mean display problem

BUT if really zero input from keyboard, usually somthing wrong, on my case that because i changed or upgrade my PC case, and somehow there is a screw on the top of my motherboard, if you havent installed something then that wasnt the case

Try using one RAM, if still then it is not RAM issue
Well time bring it to tech pro

FTI just give them without the drive

But then again I've been running Nvidia gpu's across multiple machines for years and never had the issue.

As for the OP's question, yes there is no guarantee the repair shop won't access your info, so you'll have to decide if you trust them or not. Giving a PC without a drive will mean they have to do extra to get it working, discuss it with them first.
