Wired Xbox One Controller Disconnects
So, I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but it seems there hasn’t been a fix or find on how to fix this issue. I have a 2 year old wired Xbox one controller directly in PC and while I’m playing games like PoE, Diablo, or even Yakuza randomly the buttons become unresponsive until I click back in game or alt tab out.

I’ve updated the drivers with the Xbox accessories app and tried different cables.

Anyone have a recommendation or found a fix? I’m about to chunk the controller for an 8BitDo Ultimate cause this is bad.

This isn't giving me much faith for the replacement that I ordered and will have tomorrow evening...
Replacing my Xbox 360 (2006-2007 made) it worked fine for 15 years... but the left stick is funky now so... anyway I think the 1V8-00002 isn't going to last even 50-100 hours
How about updating, reinstalling, the xBox app (not accessories, the other one).

You may have luck. But I can’t say for 360 stuff. This is happening for my Series X controller. Best of luck!

How is it concluded this is a hardware problem when it seems like what you are describing is the Window is being deselected or something is is taking focus?

yea, this sounds like a problem where the game is running in full screen windowed mode and losing focus

next time it happens, hit the context menu button on keyboard (between right ctrl and winkey)
should bring up the menu for whatever has focus

or disable everything from windows startup and reboot, and try the game again

I feel like I’ve done this before and disabled everything other than essentials at start up and still happens. I will give a try again to see. I’m also it happens in full screen and borderless windowed mode when controller stuff still happens.
