4060 is ok with your PSU.
You could also consider Dual Channel Ram, you may not appreciate the difference but your machine will.
32 gb? isn’t a lot?

Normal amount these days and DDR4 RAM is cheap.

16gb is ok, I was just suggesting dual Channel because its faster be it 2 x 8gb or 2 x 16gb.

Intel and AMD are planning on competing pretty aggressively in the mid-range space this generation. I don't think you need to look to older and slower Nvidia cards unless you're a die-hard Nvidia fanboy.

Graphics card PCIe slot is backwards compatible so no problem there.
Try to get the same RAM stick you currently have or at least same Mhz and CL values.

You can take a picture of it on your phone to show when you go to buy if in doubt, guy in store should be able to get it right.

i have a 2666 mhz, what is CL?
i run a 3060 and its doing me fine, i dont think ive seen my pc it over 500w, i believe the 4060s minimum watt usage is 350. 550w is prolly enough. i think intel and radeon are coming out with better mid range cards for around 300 so idk if id buy a 3060 or 4060 yet
so… my psu can support and 4060? or better card?

CAS latency, it`s usually between 16 and 19 for 2666 Mhz.

Intel won't be so good for a 9400f user unfortunately. There's some sort of problem with the drivers that keeps the card from running atf full perf.

If you have anything less than a 5600x Techspot calls it a hard skip.[www.techspot.com] and even with the 5600x they consider the value proposition questionable.

Given that even the 9600k isn't as powerful as the 3600 by Techspot's own metrics,[www.techspot.com], and the 3600 is a lower sku prior generation part compared to the 5600x, a 9400f isn't going to be well paired with a B580.

It's a real shame because based on traditional review methodologies the B580 was shaping up to be a real good card, but as it stands most people aren't going to benefit from it.

It is hypothetically possible that Intel could fix this in a driver update, but that would be taking somewhat of a gamble until such a driver update is released.

Your limit on price is an issue.
GPUs are generally going up in pice at the moment.

I suggest waiting until at least the RTX 5060/5060 ti cards are released.

Also whatever you buy, get 16GB+ VRAM.
