Electric has a frequency which means your light bulbs have a frequency. Camera frame rates need to match the illumination. Make the frame rate a multiple of your country’s frequency… it might solve it!

I’d imagine it’s more noticeable with lights with a narrow range of colours… tungsten or halogen for example. Fluorescent chucks out lots of colours so light lands on the lense all sorts of different times.

My camera will only go to 60fps , if I have better lighting it will solve the issue ? , sorry I didn’t really understand your message that’s smart stuff I’m not familiar with 😂
I'm guessing most of the light illuminating your face will be the monitor so maybe change the refresh rate of that... as a quick test. Maybe, try 120hz.

It could be anything, really but I know I've had flickering video footage when I've recorded at 60fps... UK is 50hz electric.

edit: don't know if this is the best explanation - it's the first short one I found.

Ahh right that makes sense I will watch the video and see if there’s any other tips as I don’t really want to turn the refresh rate down on the screens I can try some lighting see if that helps too , also the camera is pointed at my racing wheel which is just below the screens but part of the screens are on camera too , appreciate your advice Thankyou very much 👍
its simple....the camera is picking up the monitors....the only way to really fix it is to ether change the monitors or over power the light from the monitors with a second light source.....

are you using other lighting?
or is the monitors light the only thing you have?
Thanks fellas I think I know the issue now then , I was just using a small lamp for lighting , also the room is pretty dark too , ordered some bright standing lights so I’m hoping it fixes the problem

you can try setting the displays to 120hz, should reduce the flicker and still higher refresh rate
Turns out it was the usb the webcam was in a 2.0 and when I switched to a 3.0 and it fixed the flicker , appreciate you guys taking the time to try help thankyou 👍
usb?
does the cam have hdmi?

if you have an elgato or other pci-e capture card use that for the cam
It was just a cheap Amazon cam it started again not long after that message and even with decent lighting , I bought a decent Logitech now lesson learned
Go with a Logitech true 1080p/60 (or 4K) webcam or better; nothing less.
Off-brand cams are junk.

If it's a Pro Cam then yes make use of that via PCIE Capture Card + HDMI for better results.
