Best available AM5 Mini-ITX motherboard?
I'm planning to get the Ryzen 7 7800x3D CPU but I realized that I would need to upgrade my motherboard since my current motherboard is an AM4.

Being a mini-ITX case user, what are the best motherboards out there? (I know there aren't many options). Would appreciate any insight or suggestions! :)

This probably isn't what you're wanting to hear, but I'd start by looking at the list of AM5 Mini-ITX motherboards on PC Part Picker and skimming the reviews:

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#s=41&amp%3Bf=8&f=8

If your budget is "sky is the limit", maybe try that ASRock B650E PG-ITX WIFI that's still ~$310 but has good reviews. People are really liking ASRock & MSI products as of late.

It's a weird time. A lot of top tier parts went out of stock during Black Friday - Cyber Monday and not all have recovered.

Edit: Changed URL. Hopefully it keeps Mini-ITX checked in the list of filters this time.

B650M C v3 works nicely.
Is that ITX Case going to allow for enough cooling though? Some of those ITX cases are very terrible when it comes to space for good cooling options.

not much to pick from, i swear by asus motherboards, i swear at gigabyte/msi. but since this year im doing a budgie build i went with the cheaper asrock. i dont need the power phaes.

the only board cheaper is the gigabyte at under $100us, but out of all the itx's this year, the cheap gigabyte is the only one that stands out for overheating. just stay away from the cheap gigabyte.

It's the con of owning an ITX PC, but I prefer the compact size since I travel
One major issue with ITX is available M2 slots. I'd make sure it has at least 2 if possible. And then find some good deals or 2 or 4 TB NVME SSDs
ASRock B650I LIGHTNING WIFI

its one of the best ITX options on the market......as long as you dont use the included wifi card......
On the Gigabyte Aorous ultra and its pretty good. Has 3 NVME slots one of which is gen 5 and just about all the other bells and whistles.

The only reason I might go back to mATX is due to no boards having 5Gbe or 10Gbe ports and USB adapters BEAT THE F&%$ out of your USB hubs throughput.

And before anyone does the whole "Do YoU nEeD tHaT?" song and dance the answer is yes I already have a 10Gbe network with a 5Gbe fiberline.

Which Chipset and CPU are you using?
As there are plenty of good boards with 10Gbit LAN and 4x M2 slots

so real world you kinda only really need 5G networking built in.......or are you doing local file sharing with a server in use??? cause if you dont have the server you dont need 10g.....
You have 5G or 5Gbit ISP? There is a huge difference.

If you have 5Gbit ISP, all you really need for wired ports is around 2.5Gbit

On the Gateways provided from ISPs that can dish out 5Gbit usually it provides you with 2x 2.5Gbit ports and the rest are 1Gbit.

So why do you think you need a single port for 5-10Gbit ?

i believe it's the strix X670E-I wifi, but since that's $440, you might want to take a look at the A620I lightning wifi which is pretty killer P2P especially for an ITX motherboard, or the B650I aorus ultra if you want a little more.
