Does it make much sense to activate this setting in the Nvidia App? Do games look better with it?And how big is the impact on performance?

Try it out because not all systems are the same, not even systems made from the same exact parts, so one person's experience might not be your own plus everyone's eyes are different so what looks good to someone might not look good to you and vice-versa.

I have tried both RTX HDR and DV with no performance impacts. But that's not to say everyone's experiences with it will be the same, give it a go.

dude if you arent giving advice just shut up and move on, some people arent as tech savy and need a bit more help or direction. Just because you are the all knowing and able to test everything doesnt mean everyone else can so relax that ego.
