Downgrade Bios ... Is it harmful for the Motherboard ??
I have Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming Motherboard got it last month and got issues with bios 0706 and the recent one 0804 as the EXPO profile cannot be activated. This kept my DDR5 RAMs (32x4 GB) at default speed of 3600 and cannot get 6400.

Is it OK to rollback or downgrade the bios version to 0606 as I came to know it was very stable in which EXPO profile compatibility has no issue with bios 0606. Is there any harm to the Motherboard?

It depends on the BIOS and if it will let you go backwards. Not all do and if it doesn't then you never force it or play games, (experimenting) with your motherboards BIOS or you will be buying a new motherboard. Experimenting or forcing your BIOS is when you will do harm. You might need to buy another motherboard with a more stable BIOS that you see a history of BIOS updates and make sure that they all work. This is where you need to do your homework. I was looking at an AM5 system and decided to stay with my AM4 for a while longer. My humble opinion.

some boards will not let you downgrade bios

have you tried each dimm one and slot at a time to see if its a bad dimm or slot?

Sorry, I corrected the RAMs I have now. they are engaging 4 DIMM slots with 4x32 GB. after having q-code "od" after bios 0706.

Please review the original issue:

you cant get full speed running 4 sticks no matter what you do.....changing bios wont fix this....only 2 sticks will run at 6000

This is the right answer. It has nothing to do with BIOS.
As others have already said, many motherboards will not even let you rollback BIOS versions, and this isn't an issue of BIOS, it's just the RAM

That is OK and fully understood. I need to go back the 2x32 GB only by involving two DIMM slots not 4. But at this moment, if I use only 2 sticks, Q-Code "0d" will appear immediately and rebooting issue will begin. That is the whole point. I know 128 GB RAM is just crazy number for gaming and I will not utilize even 20% of it.

Reset your BIOS. That alone might work.

Set memory to auto and clock to base.

Your RAM might not be compatible with your motherboard.

You might have a malfunctioning RAM or RAM interface.

Make sure EXPO is enabled.

Check Asus Forum, many issue started with this motherboard from BIOS-0706.
Be careful with this board, they released two BIOS revisions within a couple weeks of each other - not a great sign of stability but it will get there eventually, do not jump on every update and read the prerequisites and warnings. :chirp::badluck:

If anything goes wrong just use the "BIOS FlashBack" feature listed in your manual, which will require a usb stick and will be able to flash and recover your board per their own site.
