no dedicated gpu?

what cpu exactly?
doom 2016 was very demanding at the time
the intel uhd will have troubles at 1080p
lowering to 720p at lowest settings might be ok

look at youtube for cpu model + game to see how it does

Bro what? Doom 2016 was praised as being one of the most optimized games that came out that year. You can run it on low end parts. Hell I can run Doom eternal on my thinkpad. Those games are very well made.

doom min req is gtx 670 or amd 7870

op did not say exactly what cpu, their igpu performance range is pretty wide

most uhd are close to a gt 630 performance
gtx 670 and 7870 are over twice that

the game will struggle at 720p with the uhd, even tho the mobile cpu is strong enough for it

faster ram does help the igpu a lot, but laptop ram is always slower than desktop ram

None of this makes doom 2016 "very demanding for the time", nor does coming up with a proper response after a horrible one doesn't retro actively fix it.

Well, here's a UHD 630.

Lowest settings, 1366x768.

I'd not call that playable personally. Would probably be way less at 1080p.

We need a model number on your C.P.U. to determine what I.G.P.U. you have. Use C.P.U.-Z[www.cpuid.com] to find that out.

2666 MHz wasn't supported by Intel mobile SKUs until at least Coffee Lake. The only CPUs I can find that support that and have any advertised frequency as 3.4 GHz are:

i3-8130U and 8250U which have UHD 620, and i3-1005G1 with UHD Graphics (G1). No other SKUs that officially support 2666 MHz are rated for that speed and I doubt that laptop manufacturers would bother trying to push beyond official supported limits.

i get that he is in left field half the time but on this he has a valid point.....the game wont run that great on intel HD chip sets.....just for fun try and find a video on youtube showing the game at over 720p on intel......

This is with the best presumed mobile CPU I could find that's rated for 3.4 GHz, barely playable with the newer Doom Eternal but that's with 1 stick of 8GB. 2016 would probably fare better?

as expected 30 frames at 720p with lowest settings....it was painful to watch that.....this game runs like butter on a 960 2gb

ymmv with the intel hd
same cpu/igpu with different ram configs will be wildly different performance
but at its best it still hard to hold 30+fps at 720p

the setup look good, but if you add a little more gpu power like say geforce rtx 900,problem solved

Iirc I ran it at 480p with fairly high detail graphics on a crap pc a while ago

op has mobile cpu, not possible to add a dedicated gpu
