Best competitve build a ancient A320M motherboard beats a PS5 PROs frame rates!
jams computer

Motherboard: Asrock A320M HDV R4.0 ( BIOS: American Trends P8.01 30/01/2023)
CPU: Ryzen 5800x
GPU: ZOTAC RTX2080 Ti Blower Style ( 11GB)
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200 dual channel
SSD: 2TB WD BLACK 4x4 NVME ( But only goes gen3 speeds 3000megs due to old motherboard.)
COOLER : Thermalright 120 SE
POWER: XPG 650 WATT
CASE: MONTEC AIR 100 Lite ARGB

Game Softwares:
GAME - Apex Legends season 23.
GAME Settings - Resolution = 1600 x 900 240hz (windows display settings same) ,
ALL mostly LOW and disabled ,
Nvidia Reflex = enabled,
Anti aliasing TSAA = enabled ,
Texture streaming budget = 2GB ,
Texture Model = Medium.
FOV = 100

OS:
Win11

Drivers and other software:
Asrock Motherboard drivers for A320M HDV R4.0 (website)
AMD Chipset Drivers for A320 ( Goto AMD website )
Nvidia Graphics drivers for rtx2080ti( latest goto website )

MSI After Burner custom fan curve set to 80% on LOAD. with stable OC settings.
( keep the GPU from going over 80% degrees or else lose power )

BIOS settings :
PCI settingsfor (SMART ACCESS MEMORY= enabled )
4g bar = ENABLED
resizable bar = ENABLED
RAM = XMP set to 3200MHz
Fan settings = performance

i couldnt be bothered to put on a video but it ran 200-240fps on a 1600x900 resolution 240hz on apex legends season 23. I made this build for a bro and to prove to people that it does not blow up.

amd a boards are for office pc or maybe htpc builds, not designed for mid-high end cpus or demanding workloads

4+1+1 vrm config with no cooling, limits cpu to around 80w max
stock cooler is best since thats the only airflow the vrm mosfets can get

Framerates aren't everything. Are you running it at the roughly equivalent resolution and fidelity settings? A 2080 ti is a smidgen weaker than a 4070, which is where they're pegging the P.S. 5 pro at.

He's just claiming it beats the console. Not that it's the optimal build for the processor.

the 2080ti ran most on a solid 240fps , but i guess it could run more FPS because the display settings was set to AMD optimised, monitor could have locked it to 240 fps. Also i put in a someones stable OC from reddit on MSi Afterburner so it could run alot faster like 5%-10% , but you need the GPU temps to run below 84% by running the fans 80% ( on load ). temps was at 50 degrees on low resolution.

PS5 Pro runs a locked 120fps 120hz it cannot reach 240FPS, im not talking about the fidelity ( PS5 PRO is has better fidelity on 4k res agreed PSSR and all the icing on the cake, but we competitive players we DONT like those things we DISABLE those things because it causes latency and lags ) im talking about competitive low settings , low latency FASTEST usually 240 FPS for online games like COD and Apex legends eports type titles. Minimising Lag and Latency.
Theres NO reason for running in 4k resolution / ultra fidelity mode on esports type games, because it would cause alot of latency and lags. Im saying in order to play those competitive types online games at optimal so that you dont get disadvantaged by latency and lags its an ideal requirement that you run your GPU at under 40% ( refer to linus tech video ) and low graphical settings and MAX FPS.

2080 ti has no problems running things 1080p /60fps ultra settings on PC.

BTW PS5 has a 400watt power supply most reviews dont mention.

its a limitation of the mobo, that the cpu cannot overheat and the board will force it to throttle at demanding loads
most games dont use alot of cores, and may not limit it int the same ways, but newer demanding games that need many cores/threads will be throttled

Who cares about frames. The Ps5's gaming OS is all that matters, junk windows can't keep up with it!

and the way the consoles use their hardware
shared gpu and vram, no way windows can do that without using the igpu

and the console system ram running at dedicated gpu vram speeds

its always been useless trying to compare console and pc specs
consoles play their games at their settings and fps
pc can be anywhere, more or less with similar performing hardware at a variety of settings

its worth getting a better motherboard....even if you keep temps in check no way your boost clocks are as good as they should be....
