However you can do that with Steam running and configured for that
Once in the desktop layout, I recommend setting the stick to a lower sensitivity for mouse movement. You may want to start at 100% and then go up or down from there.
Also under the controller settings is where you'll find Calibration and Advanced Settings. Click on that and set the the Joystick Deadzone to 2000 for both sticks. If you get joystick drift, increase the deadzone until drift stops. This will improve mouse cursor movement.
Though I think it's abandoned now.

all i see is the option to change the deadzone, nothing about changing sensitivity
scroll to the bottom for desktop and edit config and change the sticks sensitivity there
