Logitech X56 HOTAS
So I've just bought this device and I'm trying to get it going in No Man's Sky, watched an old guide on how but it was out of date and Steam has changed since then, I kind of figured it out though and what I'm trying to do is assign controls so they map to an Xbox pad, it's the first time I've used this feature and I never knew of it till now.

Anyway in controller settings Steam recognises the X56 and I can click on begin setup to start assigning, first it say's press A so I pull the trigger to assign but nothing happens and nothing seems to happen pressing anything on the joystick, but if I try to assign things to the throttle side it works no problem.

So I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows how to get it running, cheers.

Install and calibrate in windows, set it up in game, no need for steam at all.

Why set it up as Xbox pad ? its not.

As far as I know that's the only way to get it working in No Mans Sky VR, the game doesn't support anything beyond the VR controllers, I've seen people do it but not with an X56 and Steam wont accept input from the joystick for some reason even though it sees it and labels it X56 Rhino.

Yeah that's the way I'm trying, it's an old guide so the layout is different but it's basically the same but yeah can't get the stick to work, It's not the end of the world just hoping someone knew a quick fix, cheers man.
