My main is this 70lb water cooled monster haha I truly hate it. Made me realize I will never buy a tower ever again.

I still have my 4790K PC in a BitFenix NVIDIA Edition ITX Case

Those beelinks and stuff CAN be great but i wouldn't install windows on it.

Either as a plex media server, or installing something like bazzite or another linux distro on it.

Never windows

A noncomparative benchmark is kinda useless. I've gone over the math based on video comparison before and on average, the 780M used in the 8700g is 20% weaker than a GTX 1060 6 gig. That makes it only about as powerful as a GTX 1060 3 gig. No, those aren't just the same card with less V.R.A.M. If you look at the specs., the 3 gig. 1060 has fewer cores, texture mapping units and render output units. I believe the 780M desktop class is stronger than the one used in these high efficiency laptop processors too, simply because it has access to more power and a higher thermal limit.

I don't at all doubt that you can have a good gaming experience on this hardware. It's about on par with what you'd see in a steam deck, and there are plenty of games made specifically to run well on the Deck. However, for one thing it's a bit of a tough pill to swallow that we see people smack talkin' the 8 and 9 year old graphics cards while these I.G.P.Us. get lauded. I mean granted,

More importantly though, I'd probably say to get one that can use an E.G.P.U. setup.

The most ghetto rigged way to do it would be to get one that has two m.2 slots and a P.C.I.E. adapter like this[www.amazon.com] and a tfx or sfx P.S.U. (since clearly the priority here is size). Well, I guess that's a lie. The most ghetto rigged way would be to use a U.S.B. drive as your boot drive if you only have one m.2 slot, but that's getting ridiculous. However, this solution is much bulkier and at that point, it'd probably be better to build a smaller Mini-I.T.X. system anyway.

A more elegant way would be to get one with thunderbolt or occulink (or an occulink to m.2 adapter) and get something like a onexgpu or a G.P.D. G1. Having a direct occulink connection would probably be for the best though, because you'd have access to 8 P.C.I.E. lanes instead of just 4. However this is rather expensive.

Either way, with an E.G.P.U., you're probably going to want to watch The Problem with External G.P.Us. and handhelds anyway to get an idea of the caveats of that approach. Nothing's particularly different about a handheld and a Mini P.C. in core principle.

If you're buying a mini P.C. and expecting any amount of power behind the G.P.U., then you're probably going to want to buy one with a discrete laptop chip like the minisforum neptune[store.minisforum.com], which has an RX 6650M in it. These kinds aren't particularly common though.
They are cheap, cheaper than laptop. People game on laptop all the time. /shrug

Mine came with 11 Pro, works fine. What am I missing?

Did you even watch my linked video?
If you want, just skip to where it's showing various gameplay. Even Baulders Gate 3.

The 780M isn't great, but it does a good job considering the low pricing of that AE7 Mini-PC
And yes there are other options out there.

The future is cloud-based towers as both laptops and monitors become obsolete.

You can use a Raspberry Pi for a decent gaming setup. Hell, I'd take one over Nvidia's crap any day.

The OUYA would have been a nice emulation box, if they hadn't focused marketing on Newgrounds-esque flash games.

Not everyone wants that. Streaming services can get expensive.
Plus you need like 100+ Mbps to really enjoy those, and not just the speed but good ping and reliable connection. Again not everyone has that all the time.

Without KB+M ~ LOL no thanx.
Plus I do much more on my PCs then just gaming.
