I get a weird error when I start my PC up.
This is the error: g_pAsWMI_NotOpen

It doesn't do anything (as far as I know) and I click ok and it goes away. It's just very annoying.

Anybody have some suggestions or know what to do?

Check your startup items if you know how to, you could have deleted/uninstalled something but the startup item is still active.

I used to have an asus motherboard and then I switched it out for an msi motherboard and that was when the error started showing up.

What does that mean and how do I do that?

Normally, when you change motherboards from one brand to another, you are supposed to either uninstall programs made by the other brand first to help avoid issues, or to wipe the hard drive and reinstall windows,

Reinstalling Windows when changing motherboards helps avoid such problems like the one you're having.

So that seems to be your problem. Only way to fix it is by uninstalling any left over ASUS programs or by reinstalling windows..

But since the error doesnt really do anything, what you do is up to you.

It's part of Asus's ROG system. If you hover over the error message's icon on the task bar it will say ASUS Product. For me, I can right click and it says that it's Asus's Ai boot charger, which I disabled from the BIOS. So I went in and uninstalled it and my problem went away. i know this is an older post, but just in case anyone else is seeing this issue.
