This looks handy but also looks like you could mess up a lot of stuff with it.
All I needed to do was pause updates for a long period of time and just adding a registry key did the trick.
I just wonder why, suddenly, it unpaused itself.
Good thing it was taking a while to check though, gave me time to unplug the cable.
nothing in there will brick your windows.
Alright, if I run into the issue again I'll probably try it then.

There's another page but it looks super weird, kinda like those "registry cleaners" which are, in fact, malware.
Edit: Strange page is the second result from Google.
Edit 2:

If you click the link above, it takes you to a page that looks exactly like the malwares I talked about lol.
Are you absolutely certain this program isn't one?
This is super weird.
this is the page.
That's... The page that looks like malware lol.
I guess it's just a badly designed website.
Alright, I'll trust you I guess. Gonna bookmark that for later.
Thanks.
The one I sent is the very first result from Google.
But yeah, it has links to apps that are very clearly malware, I'll post screenshots:
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/43449144680313951/A351EF8545A966351F7A292676ABE2F09AA37E01/
And then when you try to leave the page, you get this:

This is 100% malware.
the one i sent is fine
here's a virus total scan of it https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/8b46861abb7266c798b27cd6e4cc95e6e81215870128f892236b7a27dfb02b74
Thanks.
What's really weird is that it's the first result from Google lol.
Google links to this page:
https://winaero.com/winaero-tweaker/
As you can see, the link at the top of the screenshot, is what I posted.
though i am using Ublock Origin which is an ad block extension for chrome and firefox
might be an ad
I'm also using it. On Firefox.
Those are the 3 first results I get:
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/43449144680340224/0C3F367D35202036ADC24877A7E936DA6ACCBC7C/
Note I'm also using Kaspersky so normally it scans for malware links.
You don't need any third party tool garbage apps for something that you can do natively in windows using GPO.
No need to use regedit, no need to use sketchy apps, just use GPO.
Follow this guide if you don't know what to do:

Alright I'll bookmark that as well, thanks.
Edit: In the video he uses the registry though.
I don't mind using it, but it seems similar to the tweak I've done.
