My 5090 is finally here, they do exist! will complete the build next week.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3422675111

I am still waiting some parts that should arrive next week to complete the build. :HappyFragger:

Will build with:
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
MSI MPG X870E CARBON WIFI
MSI MEG PROSPECT 700R
MSI MPG CORELIQUID D360
MSI MAG A1250GL PCIE5

Upgrading from 4070 SUPER and 7800X3D, should be a pretty decent jump in performances. What do you think, good choices for build or bad lol?

But then he'd have a, laggy blurry mess, look, we get it, you are a simp for thst awful program and violently jealous of those with the spare cash to buy nice stuff, give it a rest, that program cannot compete with AMD's offerings, let alone nvidia.

Feel free not to use it.
maybe you tried it a while back.
It is periodically updated.

It is excellent for 2 x frame generation with a decent base frame rate.

It is subjective.

Oh and please explain exactly how to get frame generation in a gem with no DLSS, and no support in the drivers?

Not use it then or turn down settings, both are better options?

Few games that are demanding don't have a form of dlss in game these days and it is not an opinion that lossless sucks, it is objectably awful, it is very blurry and adds a bunch of lag / latency, you are far better off lowering settings than using it, it will look better and play far better.
Lucky, I went to a Nvidia launch event, could have walked away with a 5080 but not what I wanted so I got a priority pre-order at retail price on a 5090, should be here this month fingers crossed, I'm looking forward to that memory bandwidth on the 5090 which will give VR games a big boost.

I have a similar build ready to drop it in, had to stick the old 3080Ti in to set it all up.

Dude you're encouraging nvidia to release generational cards with sub par uplift. This gen compared to the 40 series was a joke. Will wait for the 60 series. Unless you do a lot of work with AI and processing you wasted a ton of money on that card if it's just for gaming.

It had a pretty solid improvement tbh, the 4090 was a bit of an outlier in reality, the rest of the range didn't have as much progress, but, again, still solid gains.

The point we are at with manufacturing technology means until we move off of silicon, gains will be smaller unless you want cards to use double the power and cost 4x as much becayse they just throw in enormous chips.

Also, it's really only the enthusiasts who upgrade every generation, so if you are on a 10, 20, 30 series the 50 is a much larger improvement.

30% is not bad at all. If somebody wants the best there is no better option.
AMD on the other hand is rumoured to have no uplift whatsoever.
Way too soon to be upgrading from a 4070 Super in my opinion. That product was released just last year. Also, everything' suspiciously M.S.I., even the $380 case and the overkill motherboard.

Did you get a sponsorship? You're technically supposed to disclose that if you did y'know. >_>

But what can I say? They're high end parts. Blessed be ye with good fortune.

Explain how it is a waste of money?
I am upgrading from a 4070 SUPER which is a 1440p GPU to a 5090 which is now the best 4K GPU available.
The 5090 is 20% faster on average (sometimes more) than the 4090 which is still an absolute beast of a GPU.
Now with the 5090 and multiframe gen and DLSS 4 gamers can experience 4K gaming at 200+ fps, something that was completely unimaginable few years ago.
If that is not enough amazing performances for you then I don't know what to say...
Don't forget to overclock, if the 5090 is anything like the 5080 it will give some nice gains.

Hopefully you receive your 5090 soon to complete that amazing build. Very similar to mine indeed. For VR that's going to be some awesome stuff.

Will try to OC but I don't expect massive gains from the 5090 which is already overclocked by MSI, also overclocking the 9800X3D doesn't really give much gains either. Either way maybe the silicon lottery gifted me with something great lol.

I am not sponsored by MSI my dude. I already had the AIO and the PSU. I got lucky to secure the 5090 GAMING TRIO OC so I decided to go with a full MSI build.
Need to watch out for the potential driver issue bricking cards.

There's also some pcie slot bios settings issue several reviewers had debauer, pauls hardware and some others.

Might be an issue with gsync on if you get lag spikes?

Watch power connector seating/temperatures ...... again.

Turn down settings?

That is a hard no.

You have such a hatred fro lossless scaling. It is bizarre and kind of amusing.
As I said, you are free not to use it.

The results of it are subjective.

With the 50 series there is Nvidia Smooth Motion and they promised to allow 40 series cards to also use it in a later update. It's a driver level frame gen basically the same thing as Lossless Scaling and AMD Fluid Motion Frames. Recent reports seems to indicate that it's better than Lossless Scaling but obviously not better than games with native built-in DLSS and frame generation.

So what,
I have neither.

I new GPU upgrade for a slightly better quality frame!
have you checked the prices?
Even the RTX 4000 cards, which I already have a poor opinion of, are going up in price.

Odds are they were not fully pressed on, on gpu or psu end.

No way would I run a 12vhpwr on both ends with how finickity it can be, especially if your cables, are tight on space, I'll stick with my cable mod 4 8 pins to 12vhpwr, one of those horrible connections is too many in my system as it is lol
Buildzoid made a good video explaining potential reasons and solutions for melting 5090 connectors.
I personally doubt that people who can afford 5090 don’t understand how to plug a cable. If it were user errors mostly then we would see more reports from lower end and more popular cards.
