Alienware Alpha R1 Steam OS
Hello,

I own an Alienware Alpha R1. As you may already know the Alpha R1 is also a Steam Machine. I am unable to locate the version or ISO for my particular Device. I was wondering if it was still available, as I will soon by replacing my Alpha with a new PC due to Microsoft no longer supporting Windows 10 after October this year. The Alpha cannot support Windows 11. That leaves running Linux, and I would love to continue to be able to use a machine that I've have for the past decade or so alive and using some features such as the HDMI Passthrough.

All the links I am finding for Steam OS seem to be Steam Deck recovery which, to the last of my knowledge, is not ready for non-steam deck devices.

Current SteamOS is mainly for the Steam Deck. Wider deployment is still WIP.

It's not too difficult to install a general Linux distro and do all the Steam and Proton setup yourself.

Bazzite is popular right now for pre-configuring most of it.

Cause they dropped support for Steam OS 2.x

Wait for Desktop release of Steam OS 3.x
