imho, change the ssid names to xxxx24 and xxxx5 so you know which its trying to connect to
2.4ghz is more congested with other devices but has longer range
5ghz has shorter range but fewer devices use the higher freq

and use wifi analyzer app on android to see what channels are open on 2.4ghz
the ranges overlap by +/- 2 channels, ex. ch3 uses freq range from 1 to 5, 1-6-11(-14 in eu) do not interfere with each other, while 1-5-9-13 overlap a little bit

why, is band steering no good?

better to let the connecting device pick the ssid to use not the router/ap

the router may give it different ip, which could confuse some things that have ports open when it switches

forcing a single connections would make it more stable
Op get the Alfa Network wifi6 omni-directional antenna off of ebay for your PC. Huge increase to go with the faster router. Think it's like $30.

or run some cat6a cable for pc, and only use wifi for mobile/tablets/laptops
