Crucial BX500 is rubbish, better off just using 4 TB NVME or at least Crucial MX500.
Replace the BX500 with either a T700 or T705; or a WD SN850X.
PSU I'd recommend one of the ATX3.0 SeaSonic 1000W.
AIO if you are going to do an AIO then I'd definitely recommend the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280/360/420.
Would not go with X870 for high end build since it`s kinda gutted. X870E has twice as many USB and SATA ports plus additional PCI-e lanes.
Gigabyte X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 is 310 pounds and solid build quality.
Your comments about sound are curious.
If it is a gaming, then I suggest looking into a decent motherboard with quality audio, and a decent headset.
The Crucial BX500 - they are so awful. Stay clear. The MX500 would be a much better choice.
Also consider consider a quality DAC.
An AIO for a gaming focussed PC seems odd. A decent quality air cooler should be fine.
I assume you have a GPU already.
A CPU/motherboard/memory combination I think you should get first. Use your present GPU until you decide.
Just to point out, you could use the onboard video of the 9800X3D dedicated to frame generation/upscaling. That is with the lossless scaling application. Your present GPU would render. If available in game, use those options instead.
Results are subjective, but may save you a lot of cash avoiding a new GPU purchase.
It takes forever to boot up, but it's great once it does. Some X870 boards don't have many USB ports, but this one is reasonably generous. I had no problem getting my RAM up and running with EXPO timings.
There's some lane sharing, but it won't be an issue if you don't intend to fill up all four of the m2 slots. It's also only got one PCIe 5.0 X16 slot, but I doubt most people would care.
The 9800X3D doesn't need fancy cooling. Just get a Peerless Assassin like everyone else and save yourself some money. The only issue then is finding fast RAM with clearance. I went with Kingston Fury Beast 6400. It was overpriced, but the timings are good, it looks pretty tweakable, and it's low profile.
For the power supply and case, I went with Be Quiet: the Shadow Base 800 FX and 1000W Dark Power. I'm sure the 850W would have worked, but I figured it might be fun to throw in all the spare stuff I had lying around from previous builds.
It's virtually silent while idle. Bit of noise under load but nothing you can hear over headphones. My CPU temperature idles in the 40s and barely even budges, though it might hit 50C or 55C under load in-game.
I think Air cooler is better as amd cpus dont run that hot.
But the case that big for a few items?
gigabite x870e aorus elite
gigabite x870e aorus pro
gigabite x870e aorus pro ice
all fit your demands and price.
do note.. some m.2 slots do make one of the pciex16 slots to run x8..
but just not use those and it fits what you want just fine.
you can have 16 pcie5x16 lanes on your gpu and still run also an m.2 with 4 lanes pcie5.
and still can add more.. if you later want that
also haslve the alc 1220 audiochip and wifi 7 .
There is no performance difference between a x870e and a budget b650 one.
So just pick one with features you need. Sadly, basic features like error code display or easy GPU release system only comes on more expensive boards anyway. Error code display is very useful in my opinion.

I have took all your advice avoiding the BX500. I was going to use it for windows and the m.2 for games. (old time thinking when having two separate drives was better for each).
I have now picked the WD SN850X 4TB. Binned the Samsung 990Pro as I've heard mixed reviews and all good for the WD.
Motherboard again I've took most of your advice and gone with the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite. (didn't see the good difference between the elite and pro for money)
As you suggested Matt, I love the look of the MSI X870 Tomahawk, But kept seeing bad things that put me off. This is why choosing a motherboard has been stressful lol.
90054321564584560 I hear all good things about asrock but cant find an all black one with no silly purple/pink rgb or stickers. I'm an all black guy. lol
Lord, My comment about sound on the mb. I have a decent Corsair headset. But I'm under the impression soon as I plug in a usb for it. Then I'm not getting that quality anyway?.
Also AIO for gaming rig is odd? Ye isn't needed for amd and I see why you would say that but I think the AIO coolers look ten times better and do give better temps.
Thanks for those that suggested Artic Liquid Freezer III. I have now picked this.
Yes my case is HUGE lol. I knew it was big. which is why I chose it, But omg haha its a lot bigger than I thought.
I love cases that are big. I originally liked the NV5 version. Then seen the NV7 and decided that's the one for me.
PSU. Still not decided on what yet. Currently looking through reviews and videos.

I have the same board, it does memory training every time so that's why it takes so long, there is a setting in BIOS to disable this and speeds things up a bit.
Have you disabled mem training in bios and tested reboot speed?
