G502. Wired or wireless.

For keyboards, Keychron and Royal Kludge. Preferably Brown switches.

What keyboards within those 2 brands do you suggest. I prefer tactile sounds
I have an RK96 and an RK98. Both work well.

You can buy a standalone set of clicky Blue switches to swap in if you see a keyboard you like that only comes in red or brown.

Also, 8bitdo makes some stylish keyboards.

I wouldn't say no to a https://www.8bitdo.com/retro-mechanical-keyboard-c64/ to pair with

Similar setup I have at my parent's house when I visit.
cheap keyboard w/ brown switch & volume knob[www.amazon.com] ~$27
ROCCAT Kone Pro w/ optical switches & durable scroll wheel[www.amazon.com] ~$22

only difference is I got the Burst Pro core when it was on sale for around $25, the Kone pro is a better deal now.
Just get a Mechanical Keyboard from MonoPrice website. Unless you want something super glorified there is no need to spend over $60 for a reliable KB

Think I must fall into glorified group, Rog Strix ll paired with a Rog Spatha mouse. A little OTT but i like them.
Budget keyboards I may suggest just AKKO for mods switches or keycaps, maybe Red Dragon or maybe Bloody mechanical keyboard (their switches still goods even blue switches  I tried). About mouse you just may go with Logitech G502 or G102 variants.
Oh O.M.G Keychron C3 Pro QMK/VIA Custom Gaming Keyboard only 45$ on Amazon right now, or on their site with red switches only 37$? Are you kidding me?

g305 has been my daily driver for nearly 6 years, never had an issue with it
and i personally use a red dragon k551 with red linear keys. However im not sure they sell those anymore but any mechanical red dragon keyboard is good on a tight budget.

for under $70 for both you can't go wrong imo. also the red dragon keyboards are hot swapable with basically any other switch making them customizable. Though i never found a need for that personally as the outemu mechanical switches are pretty good.
