Those edge models do look interesting
yea the psu has a different layout, but if the case has room it looks like a nice choice for the price

fan and usb 2.0 hubs are kinda neat, 2.0/3.x ports on the rear of the psu would be more useful tho, but cant complain
I'm loyal to my brands but with a 10 year warranty I'd try it out

Every Corsair PSU I've had since like 2010 has had either a 7 year or 10 year warranty; 10 years is pretty standard for a well made PSU.

Lian Li has either a 5 or 10 year but I guess it varies from model to model

Well if it doesn't have a 10 year, I would never buy it. But I guess that's just me.

Like Corsair bronze = junk PSU I would never recommend to anyone, period.
Or any Bronze rated PSU for that matter.

Just like Motherboards and SSDs; less then 5 year warranty = I won't buy it.

I definitely agree with you on all that, I like corsair pc cases and dominator RAM but stopped using corsair PSUs along time ago because I seen way too many failures.

I feel fortunate that 13900k and 990pro SSD have served me well so far

I never had a problem with Corsair Gold/Platinum stuff like HX series and RMx

Fair enough
Is the fan supposed to face the inside of the case? Weird design

Yee of course, they all do as the fan side sucks air in, blows the heat out the rear of PSU. On a typical ATX Case you'd mount the PSU Fan Side Down; cool air in from bottom, hot air out the rear. Same difference here.

the EG1000G and ones similar design are meant for dual chamber cases; where the PSU is mounted on the side behind the Motherboard in it's own chamber meant to house lots of Drives and the bulk of any extra length from your PSU related power cables. Thus mounts side ways, draws cool air from that side of the case and exhausts the hot air out the rear of the PSU/Case. You would never want to use an EG1000G (or similar design) in a typical Case where you'd want it mounted fan side down.
