No New NVIDIA Drivers Since December 2024?

Is NVIDIA going out of business? They were usually putting out new video drivers every two weeks. I'm getting concerned. I am running a GTX 3070. Should I get another higher end card. Is the 3070 no longer being supported?

You meant RTX 3070? Or GTX 1070?

NVIDIA will support some of their new software technology even on their older RTX cards. But not all new stuff. Here's their official chart:

What's driving your need for new drivers?

Drivers might often be released every two weeks, but you probably shouldn't read too far into deviations.

They are launching the 50 series cards so that might be driving the disruption (if there is one)

and newer drivers are not going to help previous gen cards
they will add new features and improvements for the latest gen cards

They will actually benefit the other RTX generations. The change from the CNN model to their new transformer model applies to all RTX cards for the features they support.

They were likely on holiday vacation in december, and will likely get the new drivers they worked on this month near the end of the month or early next month.

no lol their domestic gpus are just a tiny fraction of their business, they do it more as a courtesy than anything

They're releasing new drivers alongside the 5090 on the 30th.
