100% HDD usage but 1% SSD usage while updating games that are on SSD library
Any ideas why would an update to a game that is on main SSD be hitting 100% secondary HDD? The HDD also has a steam library on it.
Could not find anything in Settings regarding to this.
Thanks!

Remove the HDD from Steam as a possible Library.
Restart Steam and add it back again.
Ensure SSD stays the default install location option.

That means your SSD don't have enough space so it's using the HDD to do the updates.

It's best to have the game on SSD, update the game or simply install it fresh, then if needed when all done use the Steam Move option to move game from ssd to hdd
Both SSD and HDD have plenty of space left for updates. Both have steam library, client is installed on SSD. My guess is that there is a download cache that defaults to HDD but I dont know how to change it.

Done... Will let you know if this ever happens again on next big updates.
Confirm, did a 55gb update and HDD got ignored. All worked was done on the SSD.
