The 50 series is trash, especially if you already have a 40 series. They might be worth the upgrade if you have a 10 or 20 series card, and you definitely want Nvidia over AMD.

There a people buying 1500 bucks smartphones literally every 2 years following hype waves while others having more intelligence and capable of judging the différence betweeen needs and hyped buying addictions will buy a smartphone for 300 bucks and use it for 5 or 6 years.

Having a 5090 will not bring a better gaming experience than having a 2060 a 3080 or else.
Unless you want to play on a movie theater screen at 60 fps, I suggest you to wait for the 90XX series in just a few years, if you can afford the price, that said.

And just a simple question: why do you rely on other people's opinion on a forum concerning another guy's opinion in a video ?

What about people with annual 50k+ disposable income? For those people it's nothing to buy a new setup every gen or buy the latest phone annually.
90% of the people that don't buy - insert new consumer product here - do so because their current monetary situation compels them to focus on other aspects in their lives.
8% can't be bothered to set up a new device when their current product is working (me).
2% - and this is not an exaggeration - don't get new product because they know it's mediocre (also me)

As for the rest of what you posted, it's highly subjective. Saying there is no difference in experience with 2060 or 3080 is "interesting" to say the least

but it DOES have some benefits.

Now again keep in mind, some games will simply need to go and optimize a bit on their end, plus we almost always see some disappointments this early on due to Drivers are NOT mature enough yet. Also DLSS/DLAA will need some work and revisions along the way too.

Well again, if you have a 4090 already, going to a 5090 doesn't make sense.
They stopped making 4080 and 4090 (soon 4070 as well) and RTX 50 series is the replacement.

Most users with 4080, 4080 Super, 4090 will be fine until at least RTX 60.

Heck even many on a 3080 or 3080 Ti are fine.

As far as your attempt as sarcasm: Let me go run and spend $2k for 30 fake frames. No those 30-50 FPS gains are raw performance gains over the 4090. That's without DLSS or MFG. When you factor in DLSS and MFG, Then you're talking 2-4X the performance, but again not all games are going to do DLSS or MFG at that rate.

Firstly it is a problem with fast paced shooters. Perhaps reflex 2 could help but it is not out yet.
The shooters I play are perfectly fine with my present GPU.

The most popular on steam is counter strike 2, with no DLSS support.


As for the pretty and graphically demanding and slower paced games, frame generation can be a benefit. All frame generation will involve lag.

I just instead spent a whole $7 US on the lossless scaling application. I use that instead.

Just because I have the cash to afford it, does not mean I will buy it.
It is a factor in why I have the cash in the first place.

You don understand what reflex 2 is. You keep posting this like FG or MFG need reflex2 to compensate for latency. Which is still lower than “native” without using any DLSS. MFG adds very little latency over FG as it is.

Even with Reflex as it is, with boost it makes FG on DLSS3 feel as if it was just the GPU core rendering the extra frames, DLSS4 and reflex 2 will only make it better
