The new plug is fine. Not sure what Pro Techs are saying it's unsafe, since the pros who did all the testing showed it was user error or adapters causing the issues. The 90 degree adapters, not the dongles that come with the cards.

I'm waiting to see reviews for various AIB models of 5090 before make my purchase. The FE is oddly very intriguing due to the unique design and PCB. But want to see if AIB models have more performance or better memory cooling that the FE lacks.

Could just be that DDR7 really just runs that hot, will find out when the AIB models come.

New cards boost based on temp, the top cards / waterblock Ed shoukd drop those temps from 80 to 40-60 is my bet, which, I'll guesstimate will get you a few hundred more MHz, so, if the scaling is similar to previous cards, hopefully an extra 10% perfirmance.
