10 or 12 bit in Adrenaline?
I have an lg 27gs95qe OLED, it supports 10 bit color but in adrenaline i can select up to 12 bit. So i assume my panel converts for this but is there any benefit? Any downsides? More power/bandwidth usage maybe? I dont believe any games are even made in 12 bit but idk.

Just turn it on I had mine on, But if you have a model that lowers resolution or refresh rate for it I would say its not worth it. sRGB mode on an OLED already looks so good that's what I use on OLED instead panel native of the over saturated colors

It doesnt inhibit the resolution or refresh rate, as its using DP 1.4 with DSC. If i disable DSC however then i can only select 8 bit but the resolution and refresh stay the same. I dont see any difference so ill just stick to 10 bit. Was just curious. Iv been trying to see if any of this would effect the windows HDR calibration tool as i see mixed things about this monitor. Its reported at 600nits and 1000nits, both being somewhat true. The tool clips at 600nits while it can be set at 1000 and report as such in advanced properties. Also giving me awesome specular highlights. Just trying to find whats RIGHT.

It just means it can accept a 12bit signal but it won’t affect what you see… 10bit.

I guess you might experience a tiny bit of extra latency if you send a 12bit signal at it because it’s got an extra task (converting to 10bit), nothing noticeable though.
