When I use video capture on obs, in order to see laptop's screen on the main computer, that projected display caps at 30fps, even if fps is set 60fps on obs, or in the display settings, any fix for it?
I tried to project laptop's screen on my main pc through obs, i did it by using capture card and so connected one end to laptop and another end to pc. Screen did projected but it was limited to 30fps, even I have set everything correctly on obs. So i thought obs might have some issue with it so I tried to see the output from the camera app, and in that app too, it was limited to 30fps . I tried changing HDMI cable to a better one, still it was limited to 30fps but that's not the case when I connect HDMI directly on the monitor. It runs over 60fps when connected it directly to display, but why it gets limited to 30fps when i connect it with capture card and view it on obs? It's not like capture is cheap, it supports over 4k 60fps. I can't get what is the issue, can you guys tell what is the fix for it? I am not sure if this is the place to ask this, i could've asked this on superuser but I don't get any answers on it so had to ask here

What capture card do you have?

sounds like cap card is limiting, or its usb 2.0

did you try changing the refresh rate on the laptops hdmi output?
each display can have its own res and refresh rate

you could use steams remote play to capture the display/window
no need for capture card or other hardware
