weird sparking noise after new gpu installation
gave my friend my old 1660 super to upgrade his gtx 970, checked and everything is compatible, however the 1660 super must have summoned the power of zeus and smited itself as a weird sparking noise came and no display

the 970 is more power hungry than the 1660s

it could just be the power supply not happy at how its drawing the power
the 1660s should only have one pci-e 6+2 power connector, make sure its plugged in correctly
if the pci-e chains are numbered, plug it into the first one, others may be on rails shared with other stuff

friend had a family member that works in IT fix it so it probably was a cable that wasnt fully plugged in since its an old pc (all the cables were really hard to fit in)
