9800X3D vs ??????
I am looking to buy a new PC. AMD is something new to me, so I am very unfamiliar with what they do.

The 9800X3D seems like a good choice, but I am a little concerned that it's being over-hyped. It seems that it's an E-Sports CPU, and not necessarily for me. I'm not sure about other AMD processors though. I know very little about them.

What are your thoughts on this? Is the 9800X3D a no-brainer for gamers, or are they really just for the 1080P players?

it's not that complicated.

if my pc scores higher than someone elses, it's because my pc is obviously better and faster than theirs.
I'm interpreting this as "I don't respect what is a pretty complicated subject, so I tell myself it's simple and boil it down a singular number and tell myself that this single number is always absolute to have any chance of understanding it."

You've been corrected enough in this thread alone (which has seemingly run its course and at this point you've turned it into arguing about whether your own hardware is the best), so you're either willfully choosing to remain wrong, or you know better and you're trolling. In either case, good luck with that going forward, but if it's the former, then I hope you learn better one day for your own sake.

pure cope.

Good for you, too bad nobody really cares what your benchmark results say because they mean nothing in reality where you haven't been for awhile. While you're wasting time worrying about worthless benchmark results that are very obviously skewed, people are just using their machines and enjoying life.

"nobody really cares...." = cope.

You are still wrong and that's coming from me who just bought and binned a faster 14900ks, in most situations the 9800x3d is the better and faster chip and I get the feeling you haven't overclocked it and tuned the memory to play catch up.

One random synthetic benchmark does not better represent performance levels than actual real world testing.

I mean, you are not even arguing the one area it can be faster.

I think you are just coping because you bought the wrong cpu without a specific use case for it.

you are cherry picking a single bench test that tests a specific part of the cpu that the intel cpu is better at

Care to explain HOW I am projecting?

I accept for most people the 9800x3d IS the better option, my rather specific situation and setup meant that the 14900ks suited my specific needs better, while being notably cheaper.

You bought the wrong cpu and are angry at that and feel the need to defend it, if you didn't, you'd not be so gunho about it.

That's a very creative writing piece.

again, youre projecting.

14900K is still slower than 9950X acording to the benchmark.
Sorry that it is hard to belive the i9 is actually not better according to this benchmark.

I'm not the one saying the 14900k is the best and cannot admit another cpu is faster.

I am not sure you understand the term projecting.

Then again, I think there are many things you do not understand.

go by the leaderboards and sort by the score.

clearly the average is wrong when there are plenty of user submissions to review including my own which is much higher than that average you showed.

rip argument indeed. ;)

Then why not buy a 13900k, it beats the 14900k according to your logic.

Yeah, just let me bring the liquid nitrogen and OC it to 9GHz or something

GL with the lower binned CPU then.

Pure head burying in sand. The lack of logic and arguments continue. Why am I ever expecting otherwise?

The thread has run its course, the thread starter probably got the answer they were looking for long before you first posted and began to drag the thread into this "I feel so insecure that I need to make this about my hardware being better than other hardware" direction, and your lack of arguments for any claims you've put forth have been repeatedly dismantled. You've made so many posts in this thread... only to say almost nothing, and you refuse to touch the comments that poke holes in your supposed logic. I wonder why? Oh well, have fun. I'm out.
