B button on my controller stopped working overnight

I've been gaming with my Xbox Controller on this PC for almost 2 years with no issues. About a week ago I loaded a game I had played the previous night (maybe 10 hours prior) and found the B button not working. Unplugged, replugged. Nothing. Quit the game, restarted the game, Nothing. Only the B button. Powered the entire system down, rebooted, reloaded, same problem. Tried a different game and found the B button not working here either. After checking half a dozen games, it's the same issue across my library. It's not jammed, it's not caked w dirt, sugar, or any of the other quick fixes I've found. I have no pending driver updates and my Steam account is updated. I've tried every USB port on my PC and the problem remains consistent throughout...an unresponsive B button that stopped working overnight.

I'm relatively new to PC gaming so maybe I'm missing something obvious. I've talked to a few friends and they're stumped however they don't have controller experience. I've scoured the internet and these forums and found nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the right kind of screwdriver (some controllers infamously use the three point) open it up, clean the contacts and put it back together.
You could also try plugging it into another machine (how about an Xbox?) to reveal if its perhaps a software/configuration issue on your PC.

It works perfectly on my Xbox.

I've tried 3 other xbox controllers and all have the same issue w my PC.
