I second this. More durable. Good enough picture quality is fabulous. Cheaper. Make sure it has Dolby atmos.. your Golden.

Dolby Atmos usually available on theater equipment only.
I'm also very interested in this topic, since I plan to get me a second monitor. Either Mini-LED or a OLED.

Are there any significant downsides to a Mini-LED? I guess risk of burn-in is off the table.
Text clarity should also be no problem.

Only thing that bothers me about both is, that every Mini-LED or OLED monitor has a fan on the backside.
Qd oled if you have the budget and plan to use it for content consumption only. Lcd if you don't or require something for more than content consumption.
If you want to buy oled then buy a qd oled TV (s95d) since the monitors are not as good.

There is another thing about oled screens that you need to be aware of. Mainly the calibration. Some of them have inexplicable black crush or fail to distinguish certain colors well. You probably have an amoled phone. Take it to a store and have an employee play the same content on your phone. That's what I do to ensure I get a decent panel.

Mini led is good for brightness. If you don't care for that much brightness then oled is optimal considering the fald gimmick on mini led does a poor job.
However oled is not suited for static content. If you plan to use it for content consumption only, it's fine.

Thanks a lot, surely helped me.

My plan is to use monitor 1 (IPS) for office work etc. and monitor 2 (OLED or Mini-LED) for gaming, watching movies etc.

But if I'm not gaming or consuming other content, does that mean that I have to turn of the OLED monitor to avoid potential burn-in?

Ideally yes considering static content shortens the lifespan of the individual pixels
