My first build 20 years ago was an AMD build, been on Intel since.

Just grabbed a 9800X3D at actual MSRP! (I'll be using a 4070 Super, but, man, if I had waited, it would be a 9070 XT instead!)

Congrats man, the 9800x 3d is basically top dog in gaming CPU's right now and a 4070s is strong enough to let it spread its wings a bit. Hopefully you enjoy the build!

The 9800X3D would still be cheaper than the Athlon 64 FX-55 ever was those 20 years ago.

Though, my very first PC build had a 3700+ San Diego. SINGLE core, 2.2GHz, socket 939!
