Enjoy, it runs great.
actually. I gotten the wrong extra gpu pcie cable brand and almost fried my PSU and GPU. I had to google to find the right one for my PSU and order it. Which will take a week to arrive. So right now my rtx 9070 xt OC needs to stay in it's anti static bag and box.
It's just 8 pins, why not use the standard cables that came with your psu?
If you tried tge 'wrong' cables and it didn't blow up, then they are likely the same pin out, unless you double checked first.
The GPU cable I gotten isn't compatible with my PSU. It will just make it shut off. To protect itself from damaging. My PSU came with a custom pre-built years ago. It didn't include extra cables for gpu and such. I'm actually surprised this PSU is still working with no issues after all these years.
Also I've been trying to find a single 8 pin pcie cable for my psu but no luck. Just another chained 2 + 6 one. I hope it doesn't break anything. Google AI says it's not recommended to use two chained pcie cable on high end GPUs. Leads to issues and damage. I hope it's wrong.
Did I forget to mention I tried that 4 times... almost 5 times trying to boot with that wrong cable..
It's either that or PowerColor. MSI opted out of doing ANY RDNA4 GPUs this time around and the XFX are way overpriced
