that moment when you ordered new RX 9070 XT just to get hit with a
Insufficient stock to process your order(s) email -.-

Update: I was ordering what I could and managed to pre-ordered an:

XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070 OC White Triple Fan Gaming Edition with 16GB GDDR6 HDMI 3xDP. (I realize It's the non XT version. It's too late as XT version is SOLD OUTeverywhere).

Which releases on the 8th. I never pre ordered a gpu before and I don't know when it will charge me. I assume on the release date? I hope this one was a good pick.

Update: I canceled my order on the non xt version. I really want that XT version for 1440p gaming. Wish me luck on getting the XT version! Thank you everyone!

UPDATE!: Newegg stocked two 700+ RX 7090 XT at 12pm central time and i managed to order the gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC for 790$ ! It charged me so that mean's it didn't auto cancel it! Coming to me match 3rd. Only thing left is to buy an extra gpu cable since it's 3 8-pins.

Update 3/14/25: My GIGABYTE RX 9070 XT OC came in the mail about last night. I found out the extra PCI-E was the wrong brand and almost fried my PSU and GPU!. I had to google to find the right one for my PSU. It's gonna take a week to arrive. All well. ♥♥♥♥ happens!

I'm just sick of hearing about it.
Hasn't been what we'd consider a good launch since NVIDIA released the GTX 1080 and TITAN and then the 1080 Ti

„Nobody” wants 9070. People want 9070XT at MSRP (£569). Paying more than that for a weaker 9070 base is crazy IMHO.
I want the non-XT because I use a super SFF case. I am built in Xkors S300 case, and I play at 1080p.

And what you have for a PSU?

You still want at least decent 750W PSU

For SFF and low power requirements and budget; might as well grab a 4060 Ti

I have a 4060ti (16GB) right now. I am just wanting to grab an AMD card since I am full Linux now.

I also used a 65w CPU, and I use a 450w PSU.

You need more psu, those cards, well the xt, was showing spikes to over 400w.

I am aware. The non-XT has less power draw than the XT, but it still almost double my 4060Ti.
Cool, as long as you are aware, don't want to have a system shut down, might as well go to a 650 or 850 psu, should be a nice upgrade, just remember to buy the cheapest model and hopefully at MSRP!

Good luck.
I just realized I gotten the non xt version...(I was half awake during that time). I hope OC means it comes closer to the xt version if I overclock it.
OC Just means it comes very lightly clocked above base, no ammount of overclocking will make up for the drop in available hardware, sadly.

Well that sucks for you. Better return it because the non XT is really bad…

Depends what they upgraded from, but, 9070's don't seem to have stock issues, so it's not like you can profit from your mistake, it may still be a solid upgrade, even if it's a decent step behind the intended one.

5070ti's appear to be available once more at not too crazy markup, so, that could be an option, faster than the xt also.

Honestly you should stay with your 3070ti for a few weeksand get one of the XT models when they’re back in stock. The 9070 non XT is like a troll card that should not exist IMHO. $50 dollars difference for worse performance yea that’s trolling in my book.

at 1080p, the non-XT is fine. You are looking at around 7% cheaper cost for around 7% less performance.

Who buys a brand new modern GPU in 2025 to play at 1080p?
