CPU fan spins too fast
Hello i have a question. The fan of the CPU rotates at 2800 -3500 rpm if i start a program like chrome, steam or a game. Specs: amd fx 8350 gtx 960. i checked the temperature with HWINFO. Cpu is between 30-40 degree. No matter if i run a game or run the pc many hours, its always cool. Checked this on bios too, its cool. Gpu is 50 degree, the same. When I have the browser or games open, my load is normal. I never have 100% load. For example, when I open Chrome, it's around 10% load but the fan turns on and off. So the perfomance is good (for this old pc, (i know its bad compare to your gaming monsters xd). i dont have lags, nothing is instabil. Power plan is on balanced. On bios i looked for cpu fan settings, and its very old. only found settings to run it always at 100% or only goes if the cpu have to do something - its on this setting. Should i do something with "fan control" or it is what it is? i got this pc 3 days ago and only try it out.

Get a better cooler. Something like a Hyper212 EVO could easily keep an 8350 Cooled with 1200-1500 rpm 120mm fan. Then with this type of cooler, set the CPU Fan in BIOS to DC instead of PWM.

i dont what cooler is there, but it looks like a AMD Wraith Prism Cooler. The temperature are always normal to cool. if i run a game or watch something on chrome a time it doesnt get hot. Bu the fan goes up with speed and down. If im on the desktop and do nothing its quiet and the rmp are not high. but if i start something this happen. so idk, you realy think its the cooler version and this happen because temperature?
Normal or not, the speed can increase based on CPU load.
Get a larger fanned, lower RPM cooler and use a static DC fan speed. 1200-1500 is whisper quiet for most half-decent 120mm fans.

okayy, thanks for your help :)
that is the sound of hard working fan there, kinda sus 3500 tho, are you using Qfan setting? Then its normal
My old system did that everyday

3500 is the max and this happen sometimes if i start something. it goes 2-4 sec. normal it runs at 2000-2500, goes up and down. I saw something people change in bios the fan curve with this cooler type because "its known its on loud default settings". But the bios on pc is very old (blue grey design xd) and there is nothing to change. and im not a pc pro so idk. maybe i could try a 3rd party prog. like fan control, but i dont want to destroy something. maybe the guy here is right and the cooler is just bad or the settings is wrong. on 40-50 degree 100% cooler speed its just wrong i guess. but idk how to correct change

There is nothing wrong with the fan, the fan did what that spec do
When i tried using or experimenting my Asus board Qfan setting, then it is quiet, but when i started some app or game it always noisy first, but when i tried without Qfan the noise is something you can always hear but never doing suddenly ramps up like that
The solution is buy bigger fan for true quiet

And yes you can tweak up the fans but wont change much

fx8 is really old, the cooler may just be dusty, which woks as an insulator reducing the coolers ability
take off the cpu cooler and its fan, and clean the cooler
You can often adjust your fan curve in BIOS. This lets you change how fast the fans is spinning at what temperature, but if the device is really old, then it might not have it.
its better to set the fan speeds in bios
those cpus have a max of 72c
the older text based bios will not have picture or be as easy to understand than newer bios
but it will have fan settings, like low pwm or dc cpu fan control
most say like a min pwm value and +per degree or something like that

often the only the cpu header that supports pwm, the rest are dc only
If you have an aftermarket motherboard, even non UEFI should be easy enough.

Even my non-UEFI AMD 890 Chipset ASUS AM3 Board from 2010, you can set the profiles for fans; DC vs PWM; RPM ranges, etc. It has like 4 fan headers, all PWM and another fan header that is DC only. But I can switch certain ones to DC only if I choose.

However if its a smaller 2500+ RPM Fan, you dont want DC cause then it's going to be ramping 100% RPMs at all times.

one way to ease the load off your cpu is to run your browser on your gpu. a trick is to open task manager and find out exactly what apps you have that use cpu and then try to move them to the gpu. you could also try cleaning your fan. fans acumulate dust over time and starts running less effectivly. you could also invest in a new cpu. not that i know where to look for one but, your cpu is not the strongest within its generation. another way to make your cpu generate less heat is to set its power settings lower.

It's either cpu + gpu or just cpu.
Hardware acceleration On vs Off.

There is no just gpu mode.
