32 GB of Ram vs 64 GB
Any point in me going up to 64 from my 32 or would it be a waste of money?

as long as you have enough for what you do its fine
extra wont hurt, but wont help

If you need 64Gb then yes, if you don't need it then you don't need it. Its not rocket science.

Put your system under the normal loads and see how much RAM it uses, it if doesn't go near the 32, then there's no need for more.

16 is the minimum for a gaming machine. 32 is pretty standard now and allows for wiggle room for multitasking.
I was running 32 GB just fine and upgraded to 64 GB for no reason other than to be able to run bigger local AI models. Even then I find myself running smaller models that fit in my GPU's 16 GB of VRAM a lot more for the speed and convenience, and I have enough overhead to turn up the context window.

I would go with 48GB
64 is personally better than 32, i don't like being close to 50% ram usage with my stuff open with my previous 32

Unless you really want dual rank DDR5 (2x32) or your tasks require more than 32GB. going to 64GB won't yield in any real gain

Dont miss 2x48 gb. Much capasity fine and fits you perfectly. Buy high capasity ram and destroy page file. So your hdd usage much Lower and quickly. Virtual memory always bad so remove and look at performance.
Wo page file game loads suprising.

You can also cap some ram capasity as virtual hdd for when downloading games. It emulates as hdd and writing speed awesome. After download backup your files to sure.

Always check what the motherboard supports first.

Are you doing a ton of work stations loads? No? Then it'd be a waste to upgrade it.

If you are doing a ton of work stations loads it MIGHT help a bit.

you would have to go with 2x16 + 2x8 , if you want to use both dual channel.

you may aswell get 2x32 or 4x16gb kits of the same modules , that way you won't have to worry about matching everything timing wise between 2 different kits.
