cant find a WIFI go card with the antenna
hello i have a x570 gaming pro carbon wifi mobo and ive recently removed the onboard wifi and bluetooth card from its pcie slot to try and upgrade it however i broke the cable in the process of doing so and now i need a new card however the card came with a case covfering it that said wifi go on it that i had to unscrew, but upon trying to find one online only ebay seems to sell somehting like that otherwise amazon seems to only sell the cards without the case, here is a photo below of what it is and if anyone can point me to the right area for the same model ax200 wifi card with bluetooth then that would be great

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256108286515?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338757644&toolid=20006&customid=95674e44d1b73289b669990933f99349&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1tzzJXQIdTD-HJXqFx6cLvg18

Could you take and share a few pictures such as the card, where on the mobo it goes into and this wire you say you broke.

If it had an antenna extension running to the card, those are supposed to snap on/off the tiny round connectors located on the card

unable to provide any photos but its like a metal box with the wifi & bluetooth card inside it but attached to the box was the antenna sticking oout to fit through the io backplate so i opened the box to try and swap it out and pulled out the cables by accident as it seemed it was glgued down to a little black holding thing as if it was not suppose to be removed and came with the motherboard as its built in wifi but its location is the top of the mobo behind the vrms and plastic cover where the usb ports and that are on the back of the board thats about as close as i can describe it i think

Ok so broken how exactly? You can explain that any better? More details?

There probably is nothing wrong. Desktop users are simply not used to seeing these mini WiFi cards as they are not common among Desktops and usually most common inside Laptops.

Inside a Laptop for example your actual WiFi antenna runs from the Motherboard area all the way up and along the inside hollow bezel area of the Laptop screen. This is why Laptops tend to get such good signal strength as the antenna despite being hidden is a good 1-2 feet long. Your Motherboard appears to be supplied with an M2 WiFi card (Intel AX2000 series; WiFi-6 + BT5.2) so what I'm thinking is the antenna ends snapped off, which is normal if you remove the card because it's running from those 2 tiny points on the mini WiFi card, to the rear of the Motherboard to where the actual antenna connections are. So it's very possible you didn't actually break anything.

While this is an example from a Laptop, the same applies to the M2 WiFi Card in your Desktop Motherboard. > https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-bf0ff35c07c4dbbbdc81142ddd749807-lq

Here is another example, from a Desktop Motherboard of a different model. > https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?attachments/1649878331206-png.158804/

The second example you showed is pretty much the same thing but I’ll see if I can get some photos later on tonight to show you where the cable comes from the antenna screws on the box itself I’ve pulled the wire out of the sleeve of the box itself

those are normally soldered on pretty solid, not an easy task to break them off
if you dont mind the empty hole in the mobo io plate, using another wifi 2.4/5ghz antenna slot cover plate would work just fine

The "WiFi Go" is just Asus' branding for the slot that card goes in.

The connectors on the WiFi/Bluetooth adapter you linked are called "RP SMA"

The connectors that fit in those antenna holes on your I/O shield are called "IPEX" (either IPEX4 or IPEX MHF1) or "UMCC".

You can find plenty of "RP-SMA to IPEX MHF1" short cables to connect from the adapter you were looking at to the I/O shield.

https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/adam-tech/CA-DKCA0-305L1-ALI0-O/9831178

You just unscrew the nut on the IPEX end and remove it from the I/O shield, then remove the nut on the new IPEX end, insert the threaded connector through the hole on the I/O shield, and thread the nut back on until it is securely mounted. Then thread on the antenna.

The cables also seemed like they was glued to that little black clip but not sure if it’s needed that attaches to the card itself in the box tho

the box looks fine
just get a new wifi card and cables

the surface mount sma connectors suck, be careful with them

It seems quite difficult to find a wifi card as I just ordered one and had to cancel it as it was for a laptop but this card seems like a mini Wi-Fi card compared so I’m not sure what to look for
